What is ExCEL Abroad? ExCEL Abroad is the outbound component of the Exchanges for Culture, Education, and Leadership (ExCEL) program. The first group of high school students participating in ExCEL Abroad will travel to Lithuania for the 2015 - 2016 academic year.
Program participants will serve as “youth ambassadors” of the United States, promoting mutual understanding between the U.S and Lithuania. Students will live with a host family, attend a local high school, and engage in activities to learn about Lithuania’s people, culture, and values.
Eligibility Requirements: • U.S. citizen or permanent resident • Born between January 1, 1997 and June 30, 2000 • Currently enrolled in a U.S. high school in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade
