It is time for both our annual Baltic Picnic and the celebration of 100th Anniversary of Baltic Independence!

Roast pig, sausages and beer will be provided.
Please bring additional drinks and national dishes to share (either main dishes, salads or deserts).

LT 100: "Grąžinti nepriklausomybę" in the SF Bay Area

We welcome all the Bay Area Lithuanians and their friends to celebrate 100 years independence anniversary with a movie specifically made for it: "Grąžinti nepriklausomybę" (EN subtitles).

After the movie, we'll have an informal Q&A session with the idea author and comedian Oleg Šurajev as well as the movie producer Dagnė Puodžiūnaitė, who are coming to the Bay Area for this screening!

„Grąžinti nepriklausomybę“ – debiutinė Olego Šurajevo juosta, sukurta Lietuvos nepriklausomybės šimtmečio proga.

Komedija pasakoja linksmą istoriją apie keturis draugus – Basanavičių, Smetoną, Stulginskį ir Klimą – sugrįžusius į Lietuvą po šimto metų. Labiau nei siurblys robotas ir kiti šiuolaikiniai išradimai juos nustebina tai, kad Nepriklausomybės aktas guli ne Vilniuje, o... Berlyne. Ketveriukė pasiryžta jį sugrąžinti ir leidžiasi į nuotykių kupiną kelionę.

Nors filmo pavadinimas primena istorinę dramą, čia nerasite nuobodžių datų ir faktų - komedijoje gausu gero humoro, stereotipų ir kasdieniškų situacijų.
