San Francisko lituanistinė mokykla „Genys“ kviečia visus didelius ir mažus atšvęsti Šv. Kalėdas kartu.
Kalėdų šventė mokykloje įvyks gruodžio 14 dieną, 11:00 val – 13:30 val.

11:00 valandą pradėsime programą didžiojoje bendruomenės salėje su Genio mokyklos mokinių vaidinimu. Programos eigoje pasirodys Kalėdų Senis su maišu dovanų.
Dovanas savo vaikams prašome atnešti iki šventės ir paduoti Kalėdų Senio pagalbininkams. Ant dovanos turi būti aiškiai užrašytas vaiko vardas ir pavardė. Prašome atnešti tik mažas simbolines dovanėles, nes Senelio maišas mažas, suplyš ir didelės dovanos išbyrės. Palikite dideles dovanėles Kalėdų rytui po eglute. Ačiū.
Programai pasibaigus, vaišinsimės užkanda. Prašome visų, kaip ir ankstesniais metais, atsinešti maisto ir gėrimų (tik NEALKOHOLINIŲ) savo šeimai bei pasidalinimui su visais kitais.

San Francisco lithuanian school „Genys“ inviting big and small to Christmas celebration.
The Christmas celebration will be on December 14th. 11:00am - 1:30pm.
Location: 19806 Wisteria St. Castro Valley, CA 94546
We will start our program at 11:00 am in the big hall. During the program, Santa Claus will come with a bag full of toys.
Please, bring a present for your child all wrapped up and your child’s first and last name written on it. Please keep in mind, that Santa’s bag is small, therefore leave big presents for Christmas morning at home, and bring a small symbolic present to the celebration. Please leave the present with Santa‘s helper before the program.
After the program, everyone is invited to some delicious Christmas feast. Please bring a dish to share with your family and others. If you bring refreshments, only nonalcoholic drinks.
We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas celebration.

Fall Fest 2019
Brangūs Amerikos lietuviai,
Didžiausias 2019 metų Bay Area lietuvių bendruomenės renginys jau ne už kalnų! Šiais metais pasaulyje praūžus Oktoberfest linksmybėms, susitikime Fall Fest!
Šiemet nusprendėme šiek tiek pakeisti įprastą Fall Ball renginio pobūdį. Nemažai tarėmės bei diskutavome ir nusprendėme palikti pokylių suknias nuošalyje, o dėmesį skirti tam, kas JUMS rūpi labiausiai!
Kadangi gyvename viename brangiausių JAV regionų, ištaigingą renginį organizuoti kasmet darėsi vis brangiau. Su kylančia kaina mažėjo dalyvių skaičius, tad renginio formatas tapo nebetvarus. Tačiau mes norime renginyje matyti jus visus, mūsų bendruomenės narius!
Tad šiemet viskas vyks šiek tiek paprasčiau. Gerą ūpą palaikys JAV lietuvių bendruomenėje puikiai žinomas Eugenijus Dicevičius! Šis muzikantas lietuvišką dvasią palaikys puikiai žinomais šlageriais. Jūsų lauks šokiai bei linksmybės, gardžios vaišės ir gėrimai, o svarbiausia - seni ir nauji draugai!

Dear Bay Area Lithuanians,
The biggest and most awaited event of 2019 is almost here! After the world celebrates the jolly Oktoberfest, let’s meet in a unique Fall Fest!
The character of the event this year will be slightly different. We have spent quite some time discussing this and decided to leave the fancy ball tables and three-course meals behind, and pay attention to what is most important for YOU!
As we are located in one of the priciest regions in the US, organizing a fancy ball was getting more and more expensive every year. As the prices increased, the number of attendees shrank. It become no longer sustainable to operate the same type of event we all got used to.
This year's event is about you and the community, so we wanted to try something new. Something more simple. Something still super fun..
So, we met with a wonderful musician well known to American Lithuanian community - Eugenijus Dicevičius - who agreed to keep the festive mood and play some famous Lithuanian hits dear to our hearts. Fun, dances, plenty of delicious food and drinks will all await you in the event. But most importantly - it is an opportunity to get together!
Let’s keep the bright mood of Oktoberfest up and dress in colorful clothes, skirts and maybe even Lederhosen? ;) This year we stay true to what's most important -- enjoying ourselves with old and new friends!
Fall Fest will take place on November 16th, 5pm - 10 pm.
